Congrats to Alexis Paugh and Mckenzie Stewart on being accepted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society!

The Tri-M® Music Honor Society is an international program dedicated to the recognition of exceptional music students in grades 6-12 that meet the music, academic, leadership, and character criteria asked of every Tri-M member. Tri-M is a program of NAfME: National Association for Music Education, which is the largest arts education association in the world. Current members of the Bartlett Yancey High School Band or Chorus in grades 9-12 are eligible to apply for induction into the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Applicants must have completed at least one semester with a BYHS music ensemble to be considered. Minimum criteria for acceptance include an A (4.00) grade average in BYHS music classes, and a B (3.00 weighted) or better overall grade average. Participation in Music, Character, and Leadership and Service (both at school and in the community) will also be considered. Students accepted to the Tri-M Music Honor Society are required to remain enrolled in a BYHS music ensemble, as well as participate chapter meetings, performances, and service projects.
